105.5 WCHX/AM 920 WKVA/Star Country 96.7FM Sports Director Dave Burman with Lewistown HS star basketball player Elliot Searer after the 6-0 senior guard went over the #1,000 point mark in his career during the Panthers 61-49 victory over Central Thursday night January 24th, 2008 at the Lewistown Panther Gym. Burman made the historic call live on AM 920 WKVA. Elliot is also a standout baseball player for the Panthers.

Bio of our Sports Director Dave Burman (9-24-2008)
Dave, the Voice of Mifflin County Scholastic Sports, was born in Chester, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Nether Providence High School (which is now Strath Haven High School, a powerhouse in football and soccer) in Wallingford, PA (1976) and York College of Pennsylvania (1980).

Dave, who is in his 7th season as sports director for 105.5 WCHX and AM 920 WKVA, is an avid follower and website webmaster of his hometown Chester High School Clippers boys basketball program (6 state titles, 15 trips to the state championship game, 24 final-four appearances and an 80-percent winning percentage since 1940).

Dave's been in broadcasting since 1980.
